Wave:.No.4 remix3

by Anne Bourne and Tom Kuo, remix by Stephen Vitiello

about

I created this track from a piano track I had recorded in Leighton Colony in the after year of Pauline Oliveros' departure. When I arrived at Emily Carr with Tom Kuo, the following year I was contemplating my brother Pete, his beautiful musical spirit and how his mobility was being taken by a slow progressing MS. It was a poignant set of piano meditations and Tom Kuo recorded me improvising cellos over it. We recorded the cellos in surround and I placed a chair for Pete to sit in the centre and listen. When OI returned to Toronto I asked Stephen Vitiello if he could make a sorrowful song happy . This is his remix of 'No. 4, for Pete' I received it standing on a corner in snowfall outside a hardware store in downtown Toronto. It made me smile it made me laugh. It is a remedy . Thank you
